How to find us

The Magic Roundabout is found in the small hamlet of Las Palmas, in the Amazonian province of Napo. We are located  halfway between Quito and Tena, 12km south of Baeza, and 8km north of Cosanga. At the main road there is a large sign, indicating the entrance. Most bus drivers are aware of the ‘Hosteria’ but it is always worth telling them as to where you want to get off. The bus service between Quito and Tena is regular, with buses leaving every hour / hour ½ from the main bus station (Terminal Terrestre). The bus companies which go past us are: ExpresoBanos, Transbanos, Amazonas, Pelileo, Jumandy, and ExpresoLatinoamericana.

To get to us from Quito:

Take any bus going towards Tena, and ask for a ticket to Las Palmas (between Baeza and Cosanga) $3.25, / 3 ½ hours. Stay on the bus past Baeza for about 20 minutes until you reach the start of Las Palmas.  The property can be seen up on the hill on the right hand side of the road, where there is a sign. The road from Quito to Las Palmas is paved apart from just before Papallacta and for a section between Baeza and the Magic Roundabout.

To get to us from Tena direction:

Take any bus from the Terminal which goes to Quito or Lago Agrio, (check that they go via Baeza). Ask to go to Las Palmas ( $2.50 / 2 ½ hours ). After passing through the town of Cosanga, stay on the bus for about 15 minutes, until you reach Las Palmas. Coming from this direction, the Magic Roundabout is at the end of the hamlet on your left. At present the road between Tena and Quito is mainly unpaved, however work is being undertaken to improve it.
